Nordic Programs on Vail Mountain in Vail, Colorado

If you have been downhill skiing or snowboarding for years maybe its time to try something new. The Nordic Center at Golden Peak in Vail can introduce you to a whole new mountain adventure.  Come and discover Snowshoeing, Cross-country Skiing or Telemark skiing.

This is a great opportunity to experience the breathtaking White River National Forest without the crowds on your own terms. Not only do you learn a new sport but you can also discover interesting information about area history, local wildlife and the beautiful natural surroundings.

Group and Private tours and lessons are available.  If you are new to the sport these dedicated instructors will give you the tools and skills you need to succeed.  If you are already proficient at these winter sports let them take you on a tour to discover all the wonders that the Vail mountain has to offer.  No matter what level you are at these friendly and knowledgeable guides will insure you have a wonderful day.

Nominations for the 2009 Success Awards have begun… Nominate a Vail Valley Business today!  Nominations for the 2010 Vail Valley Success Awards will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 13th, 2009. To be eligible, the nominated business must be a Vail Valley Partnership member in good standing through February 1, 2010. For full eligibility requirements please visit www.vailvalleypartnership.com. Winners will be announced at the VVP Success Awards Gala. The theme this year is the ’Candlelight Ball.‘ It will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Lodge at Vail. The winner of the Non-Profit of the Year award will be announced in advance and will receive a portion of the event’s proceeds.
Besides the Non-Profit category, there will be awards for Business of the Year; Small Business of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; Green Business of the Year; and the Corporate Citizenship award, which recognized the organization that has contributed the most to the public good through programs, funding, employee participation and management commitment. Qualify for the Vail Merchant Ski Pass by attending the Vail Mountain Marriott Resort & Spa meeting on November 3, 2009 from 8 to 11 am. John Garnsey, Co-President, Mountain Division & COO/Beaver Creek Resort and Chris Jarnot, Senior VP & COO/Vail Resorts will give the Opening Remarks.
