The master pianist-keyboardist-bandleader-composer has revved up his lifelong prolific artistry a notch or two. He makes his anticipated return to the VPAC for a solo piano performance. Come to the Vilar in Beaver Creek Saturday, March 6 at 7:30pm.

The Acoustic Brotherhood Tour comes to Vilar Performing Arts Center February 27
Posted by: | CommentsThe Grammy Award-winning Los Lonely Boys have made a niche on the American music scene. They call it Texican Rock n’ Roll, with elements of rock and roll, blues, soul, country and Tejano. The band is made up of three brothers, Henry (guitar, vocals), Jojo (bass guitar, vocals) and Ringo (drums, vocals). Their debut single “Heaven” was a Number One hit on the Billboard adult contemporary chart and reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2004. Rocker Alejandro Escovedo joins them and is critically acclaimed for creating rock music that places him “in a genre all his own.” They play the Vilar in Beaver Creek on Saturday, February 27 at 7:30pm.

Soprano Renee Fleming performs at Beaver Creek Vilar’s gala concert
Posted by: | CommentsSoprano Renee Fleming is “the people’s diva,” singing on opera stages and concert halls. She is the first woman to headline the Metropolitan Opera opening night gala. She sang at the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and performed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. She performed at President Obama’s Inaugural Celebration and is a two-time Grammy Award-winner. The Vilar Performing Arts Center is pleased to present Renee Fleming on February 26 at 6:30pm.
Teatro Lirico d’Europa performs Verdi’s La Traviata and Strauss’s Die Fledermaus at peformances on Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21. Both performances are at 6:30 pm. Verdi’s beloved opera La Traviata, or “the fallen woman,” was inspired by Alexandre Dumas’s La dame aux camelias, telling the tale of a conflicted courtesan, her devoted lover and his disapproving father. Die Fledermaus is a story of mistaken identities, physical humor and irony. Teatro Lirico d’Europa’s singing is lusty and whole-hearted. They provide wonderful evenings of opera.
