Vail vacations and weddings. Claire Graham Helps With Wedding Budgets
Posted by: | CommentsWedding Planner Claire Graham discusses the budget question:
As an event planner I know brides and budgets don’t have to be in conflict. Your wedding planner can work with you to deliver your event and manage your money. For some lucky couples expanding the budget as they go is something they can allow.
For brides working with guidelines, here are some tips to keep things in check. The number of people you invite directly affects the overall cost. There are options in food and beverage where you can manage your expenditure. You can consider throwing a separate cocktail party for those who will not be at the reception. There are catering options to help keep the reception budget in check.
Special menu planning and advice from the chef will deliver great dishes that satisfy your guests and satisfy your budget. Snacks and how drinks are served can also have a dramatic impact on your total expenditure. Cheers!!

Planning a Vail Colorado wedding? For peace of mind, use a Vail wedding planner.

Sassy Events Wedding Planner Claire Graham asks,
“Is there a price for peace of mind?”
As a wedding planner, obviously I would always say you need to hire a planner! However, our experience shows there are many good reasons you need us. When couples begin to plan their wedding they can often feel overwhelmed by the details. You will be faced with decisions about everything from invitations to budgets to the honeymoon. The best advice is to hire professional help from the moment you start planning.
Bring Music to your Vail Colorado Wedding, ask Sassy Event Planners

Music at your special Vail Valley event or ceremony reflects your personal style. The setting for your wedding ceremony has an influence on the type of music you choose. If your ceremony is not in a religious setting you can have any music you would like. However, if you are being married in a church or
by clergy you will have certain guidelines to follow. The party really begins after the ceremony for most of my clients, and this is where they choose to express themselves. During the cocktail hour many select upbeat Jazz or acoustic guitar music for their guests to enjoy. At the reception, rather than trying to please everyone choose music you both like and consider what you think your guests will dance to. After all, we want the dance floor to be filled. A reputable DJ or band leader will work with you to produce a music program that reflects your preferences. Professional musicians will also know how to work with your whole event so that they create atmosphere and do not dominate the event.

Vail Wedding Planner Claire Graham talks all about wedding cake.

Who doesn’t love cake? – Trying to narrow down not only your cake design but your cake flavor can be a daunting task. With so many options for cakes, it is very hard to choose. Considering that wedding cake was originally not eaten by the bride but broken over her head it is surprising that we put so much effort into our cake selections. As wedding cakes became larger and more elaborate, thankfully this tradition was lost. The cutting of the cake these days is very symbolic and is said to represent the mutual commitment of the bride and groom to each other. Therefore, the wedding cake is a fine way to incorporate your own personal style. With so many great cake designers these days anything is possible. Get playful and creative with your selection, and enjoy your cake, too.

Finding the Perfect Vail, Colorado Wedding Gift
Posted by: | Comments
Vail Wedding Planner Claire Graham offers this advice:
“Wedding registries are different for all my clients. Wedding gifts used to be a way for the couple to set up their new household together. With the average marrying age rising many have already established their households before they get married. Now couples ask that guests not bring gifts but instead give money to them or to a charity of their choice. It is always good to register for some gifts in addition to letting your guests know that you would like money as some people feel uncomfortable giving money as a gift. There are also great online tools you can use for your guests to put money towards your honeymoon, mortgage or furniture for your house. When putting together a registry be sure to choose many different kinds of gifts in all different price ranges. This will ensure that guests have something they feel comfortable buying you.”

Plan your Vail, Colorado Honeymoon with Sassy Events

Fly me to the moon – The most precious time you will have together in this whole experience will be your honeymoon. While the wedding planning takes so much time the honeymoon should be a priority because it is just for the two of you. A honeymoon isn’t like an ordinary vacation. It’s your first trip together as a married couple and a very important way to relax after the wedding. These days most couples share in the dreaming and planning stages, so planning a successful honeymoon trip together is a great way to start a marriage. Make sure you take the time to figure out what the honeymoon budget is, how many vacation days you have to use, and when you want to leave. It is never too early to get excited so choose a location and read up as much as possible about where you are heading and what to do when you get there. Don’t forget to check into passports and visas needed to get where you are going. Remember this is the only part of the entire event that is just for the two of you. Enjoy!

Sassy Events Helps with All the Pretty Flowers for Your Vail or Beaver Creek Wedding
Posted by: | Comments
Wedding Flowers for your Vail, Colorado Wedding – Flowers are a finishing touch that reflects you and your personality. When it comes to wedding flowers it is always cost effective to choose flowers that are in season. Your color scheme will set the scene with the flowers so make sure they compliment your overall wedding design. Consider your venue when choosing your flowers and arrangements. If you have a big space to fill it will help to use tall arrangements on the tables. You can help your budget by letting your florist know which flowers you definitely don’t want to use or don’t like. Have the florist move the ceremony flowers over to the reception so they can be used again. Floating candles and petals are a way to cut down on arrangements used at the reception tables. When evaluating your florist, look at their portfolio and at designs they have done in the past that you may like. Always choose professional designers who can provide you with references. Taking photos of sample arrangements you like will help the florist get a better idea of your vision.

Advice from the Wedding Planner for a Storybook Vail, Colorado Wedding
Posted by: | CommentsAdvice from the Vail Wedding Planner, Claire Graham
Say Cheese!! – As a wedding planner I don’t believe it is a good idea to cut costs on your wedding photographer. You need a professional to do the job right. You will want your wedding photographer to know about lighting, movement, color and to be able to capture those special moments throughout the event without getting in the way. It is always a good idea to talk to many photographers before making your choice. Use your wedding planner to give you vendor recommendations of photographers they have worked with previously and know are reputable. Make sure they have personal references and view their work online before signing a contract. It is important that you feel comfortable with them and that you trust them, you want them to use the latest technology and be able to provide prints and a wedding album. To avoid being disappointed after the wedding make sure you choose a professional photographer who will deliver the permanent memories that will last a lifetime.
